My Story

I became a Christian at the age of seven after my parents shared the gospel with me and led me to faith in Christ. When I decided to accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, I was baptized at Fellowship Baptist Church and afterward instructed to study the Bible and pray daily. My walk with Christ became much more important at the age of 15 when it became evident that I needed to recommit my life to the Lord. A year after this recommitment, I realized God’s call into the ministry. After much prayer, the Lord impressed on my heart a desire to preach. I answered His call at a youth camp during the worship service. I have continued to pursue that calling by seminary training, preaching opportunities, and being active in service, including being obedient to His call to vocational ministry.

In 2006, Mary became my wife. For much of my ministry journey, she has been right there with me. God added our daughter Grace to our family in 2012. Our family also includes other children as we became foster parents beginning in 2017. We enjoy watching the kids play outside and watching movies on Friday night.
