Theological Convictions and Philos0phy of Ministry
Theological Convictions
I am a Christian first, Baptist by conviction, and Southern Baptist because of missions. I completely affirm the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). The Bible exists as the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, fully man, fully Divine, and the only Savior of the world (John 14:6). All people are sinners without hope apart from the grace of God but can be saved through faith in Christ alone (John 3:16; 1 Tim 2:4; Eph. 2:8). Individual believers and the Church has been commanded to share the gospel with all peoples and baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19-20). Southern Baptist churches, characterized by a spirit of cooperation, position themselves uniquely as a missions supporting and sending force. Without the Cooperative Program of the SBC, and other giving programs, the cooperation for this force would be impossible.

Philosophy of Ministry
I believe God has called me to a pastoral preaching ministry in the local church (Acts 20:28). I am committed to expository preaching as the central act of worship in the Church. Proclamation of the Bible aids the believer in his sanctification, urges the lost to believe the gospel, and has the glory of God as its end. Jesus Christ is the focus of the Scriptures and the redemption He secured on the cross is the general focus of leadership, counseling, and life change.
